Ndoto Forest Tree Planting
Join us in our Tree Planting Event, 10th May 2026
On 10th May 2026, Ndoto Forest Conservation Organization will convene communities, partners, and stakeholders in the heart of the Ndoto Forest for a landmark restoration action. As part of the Kenya National Tree Planting and Growing Restoration Campaign, NFCO will lead the planting of 10,000 indigenous trees across the 92,000-hectare Ndoto Forest.
Launched in December 2022, the national campaign seeks to grow 15 billion trees by 2032, increase Kenya’s tree cover to over 30%, and restore 5.1 million hectares of degraded land while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening climate resilience.
This planned event represents a collective commitment to protecting water towers, conserving biodiversity, and securing sustainable livelihoods for forest-adjacent communities. NFCO calls upon citizens, institutions, and partners to support the national goal by planting and nurturing 30 to 50 trees annually.
Together, we will take action to grow a greener, healthier, and more resilient Kenya—one tree, one forest, one future.
